Feeding Cats of all life stages

Adult Cats:

Pregnant or lactating cats: Should be fed as if they were kittens who require almost twice as much nutrition as adult cats of the same weight. Smaller, more frequent meals really boost the body’s use of nutrients.

Kittens: At three weeks, start feeding four times a day a gruel consisting of warmed goat’s milk and Azmira canned food. Slowly introduce crushed kibble over time as appetite increases. Feed four meals per day from weaning until four months old, at which time you can decide a schedule based on the kitten’s own needs. Use supplements to build health from the most important time: growth.

Senior Cats: May need daily ration reduced by ¼ to ½ according to activity level. Canned food aids their digestion; add water to food to hydrate them.

Over or Under weight cats: Feed according to desired weight as listed on bag. Use Mega Pet Daily. Never overfeed a cat!

Switching your cat to Azmira: Our superior quality and freshness makes Azmira easy to switch the average cat. Dr. Newman often recommends the "two week" method: feed half the old diet; decrease old diet, adding more Azmira during the second week. Be sure to reduce kibble quantity accordingly due to concentrated food.

Feed ½ cup (of 8 oz cup) daily; use "free choice" method or a minimum of two meals daily. Cats eat to meet their energy needs. Common sense is the best guide to feeding your cat. You may need to adjust the daily ration according to activity level, environment or weather.
